Simon Says: Now you can design and cut your own masks!
Mask: A stencil type tool used to apply a design to a surface by rubbing, brushing or spraying a coloring substance such as ink or paint over on to a desired surface. Now you can create your own masks like Heidi Swapp and Tim Holtz! Cut by hand, or use your personal die cutting system!
You will receive one package containing 2 blank mask sheets and 2 storage sheets. Each sheet measures approximately 6" by 12".
HOW TO CREATE & USE MASKS:
Creating the Mask:
1. Locate your mask sheets by finding the labels marked "mask - this side up". *Note - the other clear sheets included are to store your masks after they have been created. 2. Create and cut your design by hand, or use your personal die cut system. (Be sure to cut on the side marked "mask - this side up") 3. If you have created and intricate design, you will have to prep your mask to remove the excess material following the instructions below.
Prepping Masks: 1. Remove background area of mask by peeling off of backer sheet. 2. Remove mask from backer sheet and press down on a piece of scrap paper *note: some inside pieces will lift with the masks, others may be left on the backer sheet. 3. Lift mask off scrap paper to help remove inner pieces (smaller inside cuts should stick to the scrap paper and dispose). 4. Remove lefover inside pieces from backer sheet and dispose. 5. Your mask is now ready to use!
Using Masks: 1. Position on project as desired and press in place (Tacky repositionable back will assure placement) 2. Apply medium directly over top of mask, allow drying momentarily *note: do not heat mask material. 3. Remove mask and return it to the backer for storage. *tip: cleaning mask material is not necessary, mediums may be applied on top of each other, however mask can be cleaned with warm water, allow to dry upside down, adhesive will not wash off. 4. Store mask on the provided backer. 5. Mask can be used multiple times.
