The seamless nickel-plated brass ferrule provides a secure connection between the bristles and handle, and its added weight helps improve precision by directing balance toward the top of the brush.
The handle is crafted from FSC-certified white birch, a close-grained hardwood that is kiln-dried for stability and a warp-free finish. "I often find these stencil brushes easier to use than blending brushes. However, there is a technique to using them that can best be shown on tutorials by Lavinia Stamps. After inking swirl the brush several times in the ink lid, tap off on scrap paper, and holding brush very loosely on the metal section lightly, lightly apply ink to the paper in a very gentle swirling motion."
