"The layering stencils from Stampers Anonymous are a perfect size to use in mixed media projects. They do come in a large tag shape. The cut designs are very detailed. These can be used with spray stains, mica stains and oxides. You can use blending tools to apply ink from the ink pads through the stencil for a nice sharp image. The variety of Distress Texture pastes can be applied through the stencil with a palette knife. Distress paint can also be applied using a foam blending tool. You need to place stencils in water immediately after using so the mediums do not dry on them. They are easier to clean this way. The brush marks stencil has a nice freehand look to it and it works well on card fronts and tags. I personally prefer this size of the Tim Holtz designed stencils but many come in the mini version as well which is scaled smaller."
