Diane Reeves' Bold Abstract Lines collection was inspired by elements of architecture and interior design.
Of Bold Abstract Lines 4, Diane says: 'A foundation of the artistic enterprise is light–it invites us to see and allows us to experience our world in ever-changing illumination. This piece is inspired by a radiant atrium in a stranger’s house in Copenhagen, Denmark that allows the day to dictate its shadows and highlights as the sun curves overhead. Use this piece as a moment to pause and see the light in your own space. Look away from the things you normally see and attend the space in between–how are the light and shadows forming surprising feelings stirring your imagination? Begin with black paint on white paper and embellish as the light in your space reveals itself.'
