I can't get a straight line....
"I'm not new to paper cutters of this type, but no matter what I do the paper won't cut straight. I've tried 80 lb, 110, and 120. It's not off by much, but off enough that I can see it.I've watched several video's, including Tim's, and it just doesn't work correctly. I hesitated to purchase this due to the price, and now I've waited too long to return or exchange."

"It cuts very smoothly and is able to do 12x12. But I wished it had a ridge on the arm to help keep paper straight and also would have been nice to have ridge on the bottom for more versatility. I will still look for trimmer that I love."

"I am discovering that great tools make for a really fun crafting experience. I have love this trimmer, the great no fray cut other trimmers have yielded. Can accommodate 12X12, and handle and measuring extension bar can be stored for easy travel."
Disappointed
"This item was suggested by a fellow crafter who knew I was looking for a 12 guillitine type paper trimmer. She had not tried it, so I cant blame her, but its terrible. The arm doesnt go all the way up, which results in an inability to see whether the paper is straight. The extension which allows for cutting 12 sheet is off less than 1/8 of an inch, so you dont get a straight cut unless you adjust the paper. When I attempted to return it, I was told I could not return because I had opened it. Not sure how I would know if it worked without opening it. Needless to say, no more purchases from SS for me."
My favorite trimmer
"I have purchased and used 5 trimmers over the years and the Tim Holtz Maxi Guillotine Trimmer is my favorite by far. I love that I can easily make straight cuts as well as very tiny cuts which is perfect for evening up the edges of cards. I really appreciate that it is possible to measure 6 accurately. A design flaw of most trimmers is that the extension arm is attached at 6 and it is not possible to accurately make a 6 cut. That is not a problem with this trimmer. Finally! A trimmer that cuts accurately every time!"

"Really enjoying this paper cutter. Its great to be able to cut longer paper now. Very easily it cuts single sheet of printer paper as well as heavy weight cardstock especially watercolor paper. Great purchase."
