The Waffle Flower 7.5 x 11 inch Grip Mat replaces the 8.5 x 8.5 inch mat to become the largest size Waffle Flower offers. The half-letter-sized paper fits nicely within the rectangular shape, meaning less trimming if you prefer to stencil first and then die cut, or trim to size. This new rectangular shape also provides more room for holding ink pads in place.
The Waffle Flower Grip Mats are designed to gently hold stencils and cardstock in place during stenciling and ink blending. When using cardstock alone, the smoother the paper, the better the grip. This mat significantly reduces the need for taping, allowing more time for creative play.
Made from high-quality photopolymer, stickiness is a natural property of the material. The mat can be used repeatedly without any adhesives or glue. Refresh the surface between uses with a dampened, lint-free cloth. Peel the mat off the cardstock to minimize warping. Compared to the 2023 version, this mat might appear cloudier and feel stickier to the touch.
If the mat loses its cling, clean it with water or photopolymer-safe cleaners. If using soap, rinse well under running water and do not leave it in the sink. Never use alcohol or other chemical-based cleaners. Return it to the transparent sheet for storage, and do not stack heavy items on top.
User experience may vary depending on the size, weight, and texture of the paper. Low spots and air bubbles are normal and should not affect the mat's ability to grip.
